Both variants are possible to ask the search engine of their choice for assistance. Help in solving a problem which might not only have I had or now: Over the weekend I was gripped by a short but intensive cleaning compulsion. And as the title suggests really, it came to clean the keyboard.

This, for me a Cherry G 230, was once again due. And although I am very satisfied with this "Cheap homes" (very flat, short key ways, good click point, good stand on the table due to the heavy weight), there was still a slight surprise, as during brushing suddenly was looking for a key into the distance.

Now we know: Everything was better. Even with the keyboards. There was a spiral spring for the provision and a guide to the jamming of the keys. You could cut short the keys easily (and for example in a sock in the washing machine type) and then impress easily. A "click" and you were the keys to the right place. In this and in other Cherry keyboards with "Notebook Feeling" can be found, however, scissor-like guides that look like lawn chairs. They consist of two closed brackets which are connected together. Moreover, these two particles plus a small rubber or silicone cover, together with the key a whole. But: how easy this unit can be separated so hard is it they back together.

Besides good eyes (or glasses, which can also be a magnifying glass) you need a steady hand and a sharp knife or similar. Only the increase can be seen at all, that each of the two small plastic clip has a top and bottom so the brackets can not be used arbitrarily. And: The assembly will only be successful if kept at a certain order.

On the photo you see (much better than in reality) the three parts described. Where link below and right above. The only functional approach is the following:

1. under the hoop (in the photo below from left to right above gradient) is mounted into the ground. This recess is relatively easy to find, then this bracket is initially flat.
2. The upper bracket (in photo from right bottom to the top-left) is hooked up.
3. The hardest part: Raise both temples, spread apart while the upper bracket using (eg) knife so far that the pins can slide the lower bracket in the holes of the upper bracket. If this is successful, the result is automatically visible in the photo above and reclining chair position.
4. The whole thing is completed now with the little hood that is used centered. The larger diameter is downward.
5. Everything seems so, as in the photo may follow, the last act - the placement of the button. For this it is "only" requires that we pay attention to the middle - so the same distances in all directions. If successful, you can hear a faint "click" and the button is stuck back in the keyboard. Canted one, one usually expresses the bracket apart and may at first begin again.

Bottom line: If you know how it works, you have the keyboard in about 20 minutes back up and running. My experiments have lasted about three hours. Actually I would have a spare keyboard and then placed a new order. Now I have saved 20 to 30 euros and I know next time what I do. I found no instructions on the Web for this problem, I ask this simple solution once online.
